ADR 3.4 Exemption-Limited Quantities (LQ)
Some hazardous products are exempt from ADR regulations when they are packed in small receptacles. This is known as a Limited Quantity exception (LQ) and often applies to small items, destined for retail, that are packed in small boxes or wrapped trays.
There are wide ranging conditions that apply to this exception and customers must take their own advice to ensure products are categorized and declared correctly, in order that we can handle those products.
For a consignment to be handled under this exception i.e. exempt from ADR regulations, it must be labelled with the correct UN number and an LQ label as shown below.
