A Tramper’s Story …
“I started my journey to becoming a HGV driver by applying for my provisional entitlement for HGV’s getting my medical booked in and of course getting all the theory exams booked in and completed.
Once I was all good to go and ready to start my practical training I browsed at HGV providers near my local area of Norwich. After a few phone calls and emails, I found FrieghtForce’s in-house training provider FreightTrain was the best deal for an all in one package. Throughout the week of training both Kenny and Matt helped me through every step and I passed by the end of the week.
Now it was time to look for a job! FreightForce were hiring so I applied via application and after a successful interview and driving assessment was offered the job of a full-time Class 1 tramper!
Since August of 2023 to I have come on leaps and bounds with skill and understanding of the industry. With a very fast paced environment at FreightForce, any hard working individual can really get to grips with the life of being a HGV driver and will feel appreciated for the hard work you put in. Because of my hard working attitude to the job at hand and taking good care of my first truck, I was offered a new truck with all the bells and whistles!
I am now loving the tramping lifestyle and am able to visit some amazing places you couldn’t possbly get to go if it wasn’t for my job. Considering I had only been on one motorway before starting this job. It definitely gives you essential road skills to aid you in the future.”
